    There are 3 options relating to a profiler, but the check box does not stick and I couldn't find any explanation on how to use them.

      Work with profiler is not yet implemented.
      Until now there were no request for it.
      So, to do.

      Well, it is quite less important than code completion IMO. But the options being there is misleading. I suggest you hide them until someone gets it working (if ever that day comes)

        > Well, it is quite less important than code completion
        :-[ Ok, that's another bug (side effect of the AutoText feature)
        Fixed (rev.>=311)
        Ctrl+Space (or Shift+Ctrl+J) activates the completion
        Shift+Ctrl+Space works on function arguments

        > hide profiler options until someone gets it working
        Activation of profiler is ok now.
        Option profiler_append has been added
        Displaying the results of profiler is another story.

        Thanks again,
        Pierre.

      Yes, it works! Just one thing: the profiler_output_name should start with cachegrind.out. (for example cachegrind.out.txt), as this will make it easier to open it with WinCacheGrind.

        > the profiler_output_name should start with 'cachegrind.out'
        All items in the combo now start with 'cachegrind.out.'
        (cachegrind.out.%c .. cachegrind.out.%S) ?

        Next version (>= 2.3.0.311)

        BTW, there's a hint over the combobox.
        similar to http://xdebug.org/docs/all_settings#trace_output_name
