just downloaded dev-php 1.9.4 i wonder how come the line-numbers are not clear? the text are garbled and about the view button and click on html bar, i think its on reverse. when i clicked html bar the html bar is being removed and when i un-clicked it its being showed.

Yeah, the default installation has that issue with the View menu. One of the items (HTML Bar) shows unchecked, but if you check it, it removes the respective toolbar. The behavior is reversed.
I finally managed to fix it by checking the offending option (HTML Bar) which in turn removes the specified toolbar. Leave it at such and exit the program. Restarting the program corrected the option AND returned the toolbar automatically...

I had the bar problem when I installed dev-php, but the problem disappeared when I restarted my computer. Maybe it will fix the error.
And about the line-number problem, maybe it's because of the default editor font of dev-php.
