We added Nexus switches sometime ago and I had to create new templates because the MIBs changed and the OIDs for several items were at new locations. For instance under cpu the sysReloadReason was no longer in the new Nexus MIB and CPUTotal5Min changed from : .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.1 --to-- : .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.8.1 There are a whole series of these changes which required identifying new OIDs. The real problem is that I could never find replacements for various description fields in the new Nexus MIBs. I do this all the time with hardware that's the same, but I have different requirements on what I'm monitoring.
