I have that problem too after restarting hobbit, but in that case I know
about it and can restart devmon right after. That problem also generates
an error in the log, "Can't connect to display" or something like that.=20

With my problem I get no error message at all, and I'd rather not run in
debug mode for several days either. Often it stops reporting during the
weekend, and I don't see that it's purple until Monday, a lot could
happen during this time, with me not being alerted of it.

For me this same issue use to happen but only sometimes after I would
restart hobbit. So I incorporated devmon into hobbit, so if I restart
hobbit I restart devmon after it. Never have had this issue again.
