[Devmon] template help

I have been trying to create a template for a DC Power Plant made by  
Valere.  But i keep getting no matching templates.  The weird thing is  
the sysdesc string that i get when i poll it is "Sys Description".   
But when i poll it with sysname i get "Valere: Modular Power Plant".   
Is there a way to use sysname instead of sysdesc and if not can  
someone assist me in creating my first template, would be greatly  
appreciated...
