I have had this problem also. If I specify Fa0/[45-48] it hangs witht 
the error

[07-03-20@19:50:37] Missing repeater data for ifName for if_load msg
Invalid [] range "5-4" in regex; marked by <-- HERE in 
m/^(Fa0/41|Fa0/[45-4 <-- HERE 8]|Po[3-4])$/

changing the bb-hosts file to Fa0/4[5-8] works however.
