I'm beating my way through setting up a template for the Brocade switches and I could use a tad bit of help in setting up the environmental reporting. Brocade has 'sensors' -- ten or more of them -- at these oids: swSensorType : .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.1.22.1.2 : branch swSensorStatus : .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.1.22.1.3 : branch swSensorValue : .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.1.22.1.4 : branch swSensorInfo : .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.1.22.1.5 : branch Some of these are temprature, value in degrees Centigrade; some are fans, value is speed in RPM; and some are power supplies, with no apparent logic to value. All have statuses that include 'nominal'. How would I handle the transforms? This is my first attempt at this sort of thing, and I'm beating my way through the mibs, snmpget, and snmptranslate, modifying a copy of one of the cisco templates as I go.
