This is most likely because the devmon daemon will throw a fatal error
and quit if it is unable to reach the hobbit server (this was intended
to prevent uncessary network/cpu traffic; polling a device doesn't help
if you don't have a display server to report to).=20

However, I myself have been bit by this in the past.  I'm thinking that
I should change this to a warning, as opposed to a fatal error.

Opinions?

Sometimes it happen that when I stop the bb server for some time, when i
restart it i get all devmon target in purple.=20
I don't have any logs at the moment about this, I will try to get some
but it seems that after I restart hobbit devmon will not restart to send
data to him.

If i restart the devmon deamon it will restart sending out data.
