Hi I'm working on some templates and I will send them to the list. I'm not a programmer so I just tell you the things that (in my opinion) could be improved: - devmon doesn't look at the hobbit disabled status. it would be nice if it does. - devmon doesn't look at the conn = red status so even if the host is unreacheable he is trying to do the snmpwalk. - an option to specify the snmp version as a devmon tag (in the bb-hosts file) Have you discussed with Henrik if he will patch the hobbit rrd collector? I also do have 2 questions about templates: - If I use the MATH function I always get two digits after the . To <dev...@li...> cc Subject Re: [Devmon] info on devmon project Hi Peter, There's little activity because there is little to do on it :) I consider Devmon mostly 'finished' from my point of view, although if there is anybody out there that wanted to submit patches or templates, I would gladly merge them into the code. The hobbit rrd collector doesn't support capturing data from the devmon output yet; to get that to work you'll have to either patch the hobbit rrd/la.c file to support the devmon output, or change the template text to be bb-xsnmp-like. Chances are that if the template isn't in the devmon release, nobody has written a template for it yet (or at least decided not to share theres). There are still very little templates, when will new templates/devmon versions released? How will be the upgrade procedure?
