sysdescr is not a very good choice for identifying appliances (see for example 
how many Linux-based appliances can't be distinguished from each other, or 
from OEM servers from HP or Dell running the OEM's management software).

IMHO, your best option is currently to specify the model option in the DEVMON 
tag in the bb-host or hosts.cfg file.
