The TEMPLATES file says 'x', and the comment immediately following the operators list explicitly says "This transform is not whitespace sensitive...". Readability is one thing, but syntactic value is another. Not picking on you, just pointing out an inconsistency. Personally, I'd rather that '*' was also supported - the people who are likely to develop templates are more likely to be comfortable with that anyway. Why not allow both? I'd actually been caught out by an earlier version of devmon which still had s/x/\*/ and I was using an OID with an x (or two) in its name. Wasted an hour tracking it down :( I'm now running the latest SVN version in test and will update in prod.
