I started devmon with...

./devmon --debug -vvvvv -d /home/xymon/server/etc/bbhosts.cfg -c /usr/local/devmon/devmon.cfg

And in the /var/log/devmon.log file, I do see:

[10-11-29@10:53:20] DEBUG TEMPLATES: running post_template_load()
[10-11-29@10:53:20] DEBUG CFG: running read_hosts
[10-11-29@10:53:20] DEBUG SNMP: running poll_devices()
