If you were using branch OIDs, it should be possible to do something with this 
using exceptions.

However, I have come across the need to apply exceptions to OIDs other than 
the primary OID. If this is your issue here, this would be a new feature that 
I need to put more priority on. A bug could have been filed on this issue ...

In the case of the APC UPS templates, a similar issue was worked around with 
transforms and thresholds.
