You can create templates manually, as documented in the docs/TEMPLATES file.

In the extras directory in svn is a script that could help you automate part 
of the process.

I had started on a template for HP printers, but I haven't had time to finish 
it yet.

If you do create templates, please contribute them back by filing an 
enhancement item on the tracker with category "Templates" and attaching a 
tarball or svn diff.
