I would prefer contributions (including templates) to be made using svn, e.g.:

$ svn co https://devmon.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/devmon/trunk devmon
$ cd devmon
$ mkdir templates/xxx

[...]

$ svn add templates/xxx
$ svn diff # review what you're adding
$ svn diff > devmon-templates-xxx.patch

then, attach the diff to the "artefact" on the sourceforge tracker.

Then, we can also have discussion of the request/patch in one place.
