I am having the same issue, and I am at the latest and greatest release for both, hobbit and devmon.

We have put in a crontab to restart devmon every half hour to mitigate the problem.

Hi all,

we have the same issue here, also with Debian Etch 4.0 and Perl
5.8.8-7etch3. The occurrence of purple in our environment is
non-predictable with time spans between the purple phases varying from
some ours to several days.
