our network infrastructure and FW policies don't allow for deployment of 
active clients. SNMPd is already there and works so I'm trying to implement 
drop-in replacement for our current monitoring system (cricket) that collects 
SNMP stats just fine, except it doesn't have (otherwise I haven't figured out 
how to enable them) convenience features of hobbit - graph scaling, alarms, 
overview screen.

I did and it's *empty* :-S

that's exactly why I need devmon - hobbit client is not applicable in my case.
