Guys,

thanks for the great distro. I have been using DL 0.5 for over a year now,
but have just upgraded to 1.0x series, and so far it is working very well.

My first attempt at DL required me to "hack" a lot of the scripts - more
because of things I didn't understand, rather than deficencies in the
distro. So with the upgrade to 1.0x, I have tried to tidy things up a bit,
but there are still a few things I would like some help with.

1. Any particular reason why you edited the start-up line for DJB Daemon
Tools in the inittab file? I had some difficulty with getting it working and
ended up changing the line back to running svscanboot, whereas someone had
modified it to run svscan directly. (It turned out to be a different
problem, but as I had already changed the line, I have left it starting
svscavboot.)

2. How should I go about starting the ADSL connection using rp-pppoe? I have
it all configured, and can manually invoke the adsl-start command. At the
moment I have added a couple of lines to the start of the firewall script to
start the ADSL connect then pause for a few seconds, to allow it to connect.

For example, can I create a ifcfg-ppp0 file under /etc/sysconfig/nic, and
set it as ON-BOOT=YES, or some other simple method?

3. Likewise for starting the ez-ipupdate service. Should I be looking at
writing an init.d script, or is there one already there, that I just can't
see?
