It finds an empty floppy, and asks to copy the config to it, and then it can't find /cdrom and auto reboots. Then I manually copied etc_tar.bz2 & var_tar.bz2 to floppy, and rebooted. It got farther, but couldn't find files: /etc/init.d/functions /etc/sysconfig/config /etc/sysconfig/software Then it couldn't find inittab, it ask me to enter a runlevel, I entered "3", and it died with no processes left in the runlevel. At least the kernel isn't crashing any longer. ;-) I'd take a look and try to fix some of it now, but I've got to head off to my weekly LUG meeting ... maybe tomorrow. - BS |
