This email is to inform you about the release of version '2.0.0' of
'Bacula' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can

The changes in this release are as follows:
New features include job migration between volumes, bweb (a Web
interface), new disk-volume seek code for faster restores, data
encryption for volumes, and support for removable devices such as DVD
and USB disk devices. The Director and Storage daemons have been
ported to Win32. Bacula restore and bextract can now extract
non-portable Win32 data to any client (including Unix/Linux clients).
Length limitation for Win32 path names was eliminated. Support for
SunOS ACLs was added. The ability to enable or disable Volumes and
jobs was added. Spooling throughput when running multiple
simultaneous jobs was enhanced.

Bacula is a set of programs that allow you to manage the backup,
recovery, and verification of computer data across a network of
different computers. It is based on a client/server architecture and
is efficient and relatively easy to use, while offering many advanced
storage management features that make it easy to find and recover lost
or damaged files.
