You did the right thing.

The setup program is only for a basic configuration, anything beyond that
you have to configure the files yourself.

thanks for replying, yes I have.

correct me if I am wrong, this kind of operation cannot be set via the
interface. so I manually defined an new subnet in the dchpd.conf and set the
DCHP=server in the ifcfg-xxxx file.
