When you start for the first time the username is 'root' and there is no 
password.

Regarding server vs. non-server, I know that non-server includes 
GRSecurity and maybe has some other defences which in server are turned 
off (or down), I'm not sure of the details. I think for your use 
non-server is the way to go.
