I don't know which exactly services do you need, but if they are pretty simple - 
basic router/firewall/server etc I can suggest you building DL in 64bit  - it's 
a research project but I use it and it works very good. I've finished the latest 
3.0 kernel integration, so I'd expect it will work on your 'Sandy Bridge' system 
correctly.
