the system obviously doesn't recognize this network card. I guess in "dmesg" you 
can find the reason. I cannot reproduce the case, I have no such quad-head NIC.

I doubt the problem can be fixed by reconfiguration  - most probably you need an 
even more recent kernel. I'd also mention that you will have performance problem 
because you need 64bit system/kernel to completely utilize the card 
capabilities. Probably it's the reason why the card doesn't work - the current 
DL kernel is 32bit.
