[Devil-Linux-discuss] Change default boot screen option

Does anyone know a way (in a standard DL distribution) to alter the 
default choice for the booting screen size from VESA 1024x768 (option 3) 
to the standard 80x25 screen (option 0)? I am not always in a position 
to choose the '0' option and then with my setup the screen may not be 
fully readable.

(I don't have true local access to the DL machine, my local access is 
through a Peppercon 'Eric Express' card which I reach through a browser. 
>From Windows this is fine but from Ubuntu the boot screen gets cropped 
when in 1024x768 mode.)
