normally there is nothing to "compile", simply edit the configuration  
files of the applications you select in the setup program
and you can have your server running in a few days or less, depends on  
your experience.
if this is the first time you setup a server,nothing to worry, we can  
guide you

please don't get an old crap (win98) pc for this, pc's 2005 and up will  
work great
only thing important is that your pc can boot from a usb stick
