Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, mandree just announced version 6.3.20 of fetchmail on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: This release fixes a STARTTLS denial of service vulnerability (CVE-2011-1947). It reduces repetitions in "unseen" message logging and speeds up IMAP fetches with full mailboxes quite a bit. Fetchmail now sets its Internet sockets to keepalive mode, to detect disconnections, and resolves MD5-related build problems. Project description: Fetchmail is a free, full-featured, robust, well-documented remote-mail retrieval and forwarding utility intended to be used over on-demand TCP/IP links (such as SLIP or PPP connections). It supports every remote-mail protocol now in use on the Internet: POP2, POP3, RPOP, APOP, KPOP, all flavors of IMAP, and ESMTP ETRN, ODMR, SMTP, LMTP, and local delivery agents.
