Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, barsnick just announced version 2.27.2 of GLib on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: GDateTime gained full week number support. GSettings was enhanced and made more stable. GApplication was rewritten. GPeriodic was experimentally added to GIO as a periodic event clock. The GLib mainloop gained a "dispatch to context" functionality that can replace manually created idles in many cases. GLib is now linked against librt and uses monotonic time for timeouts and GPeriod sources. GSource has a new g_source_get_time() that returns monotonic time. Many bugs were fixed. Project description: GLib is a library containing many useful C routines for things such as trees, hashes, and lists. GLib was previously distributed with the GTK toolkit, but has been split off as of the developers' version 1.1.0.
