Have just tried devil-linux with vmware workstation 6 (was using version 5) and I continue to have problems. Using real blank floppy disc - setup in vmware- connected at poweron Using virtual blank floppy image - connected at power on Using devil linux iso as the cdrom - connected at power on Devil Linux fails to mount the /dev/fd0 Devil Linux eventually gives an error that the devil linux cd can not be found.... This is odd as the iso image was found and used to load devil linux up to this point. I am using other linux based iso's with vmware with no problem, such as PING3.0 ; sys resuce cd ; ubuntu I guess that I will next try vmware 7 I can always try burning devil linux to cd, and trying that. Strange that it does not work so far. From: ste...@ho... To: dev...@li... Subject: vm ware trouble Date: Mon, 4 Oct 2010 04:52:50 +0000 Hello, I am testing devil linux 1.4rc4 using vmware 5.5 workstation. I've added the cd iso as a bootable cd. When I start up the vm I select the usb flash drive I want to save config to but eventually get an error message saying the devil linux cd can not be found. I also tryed using a vm blank floppy image which was not recognised. Any suggestions would be great. thanks remus. |
