Hi Dominic, I agree about the block sizes. What I forgot to mention is that there are 7 IDE drives in total in the machine including the 400Gb but its only the 400Gb that's giving the error. I've just noticed that Webmin is reporting me to have 3.16Gb of memory which is a bit odd. I'll take the server offline tonight and run memtest as you suggested and see if it throws up any errors.
