But if people want to put the security of their system at risk, then I will allow them to do so as long as they know what they are doing. It's not my place to tell them no. I can tell someone that jumping out of a plane is bad, but that doesn't mean I can stop them from doing it. I've actually found that telnetd is on Devil Linux. It's under /usr/sbin/krb5/telnetd. I am able to telnet in after creating /etc/xinet.d/krb5-telnet, and turning off all other xinetd services, but it's not letting me log in as root. I'm thinking that the problem is with /etc/securetty... -- Thanks, Brad Landis |
