Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, LevArris just announced version 5.0.1 of Bacula on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: This release introduces a few major bugfixes and changes the behavior of the 'Truncate On Purge' and 'Volume Poll Interval' directives. It also changes the default to allow duplicate jobs to run and introduces a feature to cancel 'lower level jobs' when a new duplicate jobs starts. In addition to that, it includes fixes for several segmentation faults and for bugs in the 'bat' GUI. Project description: Bacula is a set of programs that allow you to manage the backup, recovery, and verification of computer data across a network of different computers. It is based on a client/server architecture and is efficient and relatively easy to use, while offering many advanced storage management features that make it easy to find and recover lost or damaged files.
