barsnick just announced version 2.23.4 of GLib on freshmeat.net.

The changes are as follows:

The core of GVariant was merged. GIO gained a new interface,
GFileDescriptorBased, for file descriptor based IO. Move events can now be
requested from file monitors. Several minor bugs were fixed. Translations were
updated.

Project description:

GLib is a library containing many useful C routines for things such as trees,
hashes, and lists. GLib was previously distributed with the GTK toolkit, but has
been split off as of the developers' version 1.1.0.
