adaml just announced version 2.4 of minicom on freshmeat.net.

The changes are as follows:

Command line parameters for most common options and remote to local character
set conversion has been added. This release also fixes program and build
environment issues.

Project description:

Minicom is a serial communication program. It is a Unix clone of the well-known
MS-DOS Telix program. It has ANSI color, a dialing directory, dial-a-list, and a
scripting language.
