Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, scoop just announced version 5.4.3 of MySQL on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: MySQL 5.4 is based on MySQL 5.1 but includes several high-impact changes to address scalability and performance issues in MySQL Server. These changes exploit advances in hardware and CPU design and enable better utilization of existing hardware. MySQL 5.4 currently has Beta status. Project description: MySQL is a widely used and fast SQL database server. It is a client/server implementation that consists of a server daemon (mysqld) and many different client programs/libraries.
