Please let us know if you find a program, I did a search a couple months
back and couldn't find anything.
I have one computer with an LCD display which would be nice to use.
I think kernel has now some support for LCD/LED devices, but have no clue
what you can do or even how to.

Is the LCD display really that critical? I would rather prefer having
up-to-date software to be honest.
