Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, schily just announced version 2.01.01a64 of cdrtools on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: This release makes makefilesystem more immune against locale (LC_*)-based problems, allows distinct Solaris and AIX process privileges, works around a problem with isnan() in AIX, enhances Mac OS X SCSI support (-scanbus now works), and enhances the man pages from cdrecord and readcd to warn of using the cloe mode for duplicating audio CDs. Project description: cdrtools (formerly cdrecord) creates home-burned CDs/DVDs with a CDR/CDRW/DVD recorder. It works as a burn engine for several applications. It supports CD/DVD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc- and ATAPI/mmc-compliant drives should also work. Supported features include IDE/ATAPI, parallel port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data CDs, and mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CDRWs (rewritable), DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW, TAO, DAO, RAW, and human-readable error messages. cdrtools includes remote SCSI support and can access local or remote CD/DVD writers.
