Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, LevArris just announced version 3.0.2 of Bacula on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: This release fixes problems with PostgreSQL, cleans up old job records when starting the Director, fixes an issue in xattr, and allows selecting files for restore from Copy Jobs. Its enhancements include better security for the File Daemon, a new directive to specify the source address for outgoing connections, and display of volume availability in autochanger when doing restores. The estimate command was improved, an option to construct a full restore from a JobId was added, and a new Nagios plugin was added. Project description: Bacula is a set of programs that allow you to manage the backup, recovery, and verification of computer data across a network of different computers. It is based on a client/server architecture and is efficient and relatively easy to use, while offering many advanced storage management features that make it easy to find and recover lost or damaged files.
