Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, bonzini just announced version 4.2.1 of sed on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: sed -i now preserves SELinux security contexts, and temporary files for sed -i are kept readable only by the user until they are complete. A problem with regular expressions including three or more consecutive brackets has been fixed. Project description: Sed, the GNU Stream Editor, copies the named files (standard input default) to the standard output, edited according to a script of commands.
