Hi! I run two DL VMs on VMware ESX. My setup is boot from ISO and configuration on floppy image. I also use Guest tagging of VLANs to reduce the number of NICs needed to be presented to each DL. No harddrive for the VMs is neeed in this configuration. Subject: [Devil-Linux-discuss] production VMWARE ESX servers I want to virtualise my production devil-linux servers onto our shiny new-ish VMWARE ESX servers, now that I have enough network ports to do so redundantly. How do other people do this? Obviously I can use ISOs in our datastore, but what might be the best way to handle the config element? I suppose I could put the config on the ISOs and then update it manually, but that seems a bit labour-intensive, and our mail gateway DL box changes its config every other day. Using a real USB device would break clustering of course. It would be nice if there was a way where save-config from the box itself would still work... Any ideas, anyone?
