The boot loader is fine. It's at the point when the penguin images appear at the top of the screen (I guess that's when the resolution and refresh rate is chosen by the kernel). When I choose the largest resolution it shifts to the right even further. I didn't play with the other resolutions. As I said in another email, I won't be using a monitor for much longer anyways, so it's not a big deal (just annoying when I am using a screen).
