Personally I really like the "RUNFROMRAM=y" option. (It takes an extra quarter GB of memory, but memory is cheap) That way the entire CD is read into RAM upon initial bootup and then the system runs from memory. It takes longer to boot, but after that, the system is FAST because it never has to go back to read the CD. - BS |
