[Devil-Linux-discuss] VMware scripts?

I have the latest DL 1.3.6 running in VMware ESX 3i server with the
VMware tools running.

I changed the settings on the VM so the reset button and the power
button to reboot/shutdown the server instead of a hard reset or
power-off.

Now when I press the power or reset button with DL running, it pops up
a message saying:
"A general system error Occurred:  Cannot execute scripts".

Is something not configured correctly?  Or is it possible to make this work?
