I'm a newbie, but I'll put in my 2 cents. I needed to set the IP address from setup eth1 Configuration menut to 192.168.1.1 (I believe the default is 192.168.1.255 or .254). For me, XP seemed to need this value; I think linux is more robust. The WRT54G may be sensitive. Can you connect one of your Vista or XP machines directly to the DL box? It's prolly easier to troubleshoot with Vista or XP, than thru a router. Good luck.
