I updated the tar binary in the lfssystem, since all other approaches  
would have been to complicated.
I did not upload anything yet, I want to first make sure it really  
solves the issue.

I changed the build environment, so that it will error out if the old  
lfssystem is used.
I won't upload/check in anything before tomorrow.

For now all the changes apply to 1.2 only.
