Yes, it is not so easy to keep it synced, but I find out a "good strategy" - to
update 1.3 and if it's ok to move  it to 1.2 :-) - a-la beta/stable branches.
There is only one difficulty to not forget to move it to 1.2 after a hold. :-))

I vote to fix all critical issues we were already informed about and produce
1.4-rc. Maybe it will be reasonable to freeze package update for some time
because usually exactly it leads to new bugs.
