Sorry, I accidently sent the previous email prematurely.
For the record I used setup:
DCHP -> Primary & Secondary DNS to values from /etc/resolv.conf
Gateway Default Gateway to 192.168.1.1 (which is what
XP expected, it had been 192.168.1.254)
ping yahoo
& surfing
both work

Will the ISP DNS server numbers be constant?
For ideal reliability, should make a script to copy them someplace and
restart something?
If so, where should they go & what would need to be restarted?
