Hi Heiko, >did you configure the firewall as the default router on the XP box? I think the answer is that XP intrinsically defaults to the LAN connection.. To be more precise I'll explain: I connect via CAT-5 from the XP machine to the DL box. The XP machine has no trouble when I put the CAT-5 into a router connected to my cable modem. WORKS without Devil: XP <--> router <--> cable modem DHCP & ping DL work, but not ping yahoo.com with XP <--> DL <--> router <--> cable modem I'm not using a null modem CAT-5 between XP & DL, but the XP hardware adjusts. I have the same behavior if I put a hub between XP & DL. >Can you ping the firewall from the XP box? Yes, as above, ping DL or more specifically ping 192.168.1.254 works.
