The only IPv6-related parameters I can find are START_IPV6_ROUTING and
START_OSPF6D, which are both set to "no". The box is not a router so
both should stay disabled.

I activate IPv6 by modprobeing ipv6 in boot.local, is there another
canonical way to do it? AFAIR I sent a couple IPv6-related patches to
the devil-linux-devel list a few years back, but I don't remember how
I handled this and I can't recall what was included or not.

Yes, I can ssh into the box over IPv6.
