I've just run "The Ultimate Setup For Your Internet Connection At Home" 
script - the HTB version (see section 15.8.3 in HOWTO on above site) and 
it works (DL 1.2.11).  I mean the script doesn't fail. Whether it does 
what's wanted is another matter ;-)
